If you have a Verizon modem/router and experiencing connectivity issues with AC650. Try the following in the router setting:
1. Uncheck “Enable DNS Rebind Protection” This is checked at the bottom of the page. While DNS rebind protection is primarily for external DNS, some Verizon gateways implement it aggressively and it can interfere with local multicast/mDNS responses that resolve to private IPs. Try unchecking this and testing again.
2. Check these other pages in the left sidebar:
“Network Connections” — Look for AP Isolation or Client Isolation settings. If enabled, it blocks device-to-device communication (which mDNS needs). Disable it.
“IPv4 Address Distribution” — Check if there’s an IGMP Snooping or IGMP Proxy toggle. Verizon gateways often have this ON by default, and it can filter multicast traffic (which mDNS depends on). Try disabling IGMP Snooping.
It seems as though my app updated automatically and then cleared out my existing settings on my biamped speakers. Is this something anyone else has come across? I will have to start over with setting them up. Not a huge deal but I wish it hadnt happened.
Also, I am having trouble getting the windows app to work and connect to my device. I wonder if it has something to do with the wifi networks not being connected the same. BUT I cannot find wifi settings in the acoustas app on my phone. How do I check this?

Can you do me a favor and check what the version of the firmware is in your app? Go to the three dots for the menu and click on amp info. If it is lower than 1.4.12, you will need to do a one-time firmware update to enable over-the-air firmware updates. go to update.acoustas.com in that case.
If the firmware is higher than 1.4.12, it should automatically be updated. Just make sure no other version of the old amp is running.
This is a pretty major update. It’s basically a complete rewrite of the old app and the firmware. After you have your firmware updated, all future updates should be over the air and they shouldn’t erase any of their states. Just in case, every now and then save the amp state or presets, which are now available in the new app.

If you get it from the Microsoft Store, it should update automatically as we will be pushing out more updates; however, now it shouldn’t erase your settings anymore. Just to be safe, you can save your amp state as a preset, or if you have multiple presets, you can save the entire amp state from the menu. They are now individual file extensions.
