A software bug was reported by a customer.
In Bessel Crossover:
Please don’t use Bessel filter in the crossover until the next App update is available.
Bluetooth bug was reported.
If there was a power outage or the power cable has been disconnected and reconnected, the Bluetooth module will try and reconnect with the last known device no matter the source that is selected by the user.
Temporary fix: if you had a power outage from your source select in the acoustas app, simply select the Bluetooth and then click out of it to any other source. After that you should be back to normal operation.
Permanent fix: We are working with the Bluetooth module manufacturer on a firmware update. Once it’s available, we will have a video here showing how to do a version update for the Bluetooth module.
Hi guys - sorry that my first post is about an app issue
I love this amp so far though and am super excited to finish my DIY project.
A couple things I noticed, at least on the Mac and Android apps:
-
Presets and labels don’t seem to sync, though I’m not sure if that’s just a limitation of the DSP platform. I configured the EQ and presets on my Mac but the Android app doesn’t show any of the presets or groups. It does show the active EQ levels, volume, etc., but preset syncing would be great. I even tried uploading the amp state file to Google Drive and loading it on the Android app but no luck. I haven’t done the reverse yet (creating preset on Android, viewing on Mac
-
When my Mac sleeps and I wake it, the amp state doesn’t reflect the active state and I have to close and reopen the app
Otherwise I’m loving the app, great UI!
Hi Chris,
Thank you for posting. This is good to know.
The first one about presets not sinking up is not a bug. This was done deliberately so you can have different presets and different devices. We are talking about how to make that more intuitive and thinking it through in general.
The second thing about Mac going to sleep and after not sinking up could be a bug. This is something that we do need to look into. What version of macOS are you using?
Gotcha I figured it might not have been a bug, that’s understandable. I’m using macOS 26 Tahoe… I forgot I was using the beta version so it very likely has to do with that. It’s probably the OS not recognizing the app is looking for network communication. Maybe wait unless someone else on a non-beta version reports it
Sounds good. Let us know if that fixes it.
I believe there’s a bug regarding adding the device.
Even after clicking “Let’s Rock” and reconnecting to my wifi, the acoustas app just keeps showing “Scanning Devices…”
It appears I’m the second person to encounter this issue as someone else started a thread on it
